Care Navigator Team

Guidance and support to help couples understand care options and next steps.

The Care Navigator Team at CouplesRehab provides educational guidance to help individuals and couples better understand mental health, addiction, and relationship-focused care options. Navigators are trained to listen, ask clarifying questions, and help users explore appropriate next steps based on general needs, preferences, and safety considerations.

Care navigators do not provide clinical treatment, medical advice, or diagnoses. Instead, they serve as a supportive point of contact—helping users make informed decisions and understand available care pathways.

What Care Navigators Do

Care Navigators support users by:
  • Explaining different levels of care and support options
  • Helping users understand telehealth versus in-person services
  • Discussing general insurance and coverage considerations
  • Identifying when higher levels of care may be appropriate
  • Providing educational resources and next-step guidance

Their role is to support understanding, not to recommend or direct clinical treatment.

What Care Navigators Do Not Do

To ensure ethical guidance and user safety, Care Navigators do not:
  • Diagnose medical or mental health conditions
  • Provide therapy or counseling
  • Recommend specific treatment providers as medical advice
  • Make treatment decisions for users
  • Replace licensed clinical professionals

This separation helps maintain clarity, safety, and transparency.

Training and Standards

Care Navigators receive training in:
  • Mental health and addiction care terminology
  • Levels of care and care pathways
  • Trauma-informed communication
  • Ethical information sharing
  • Crisis recognition and escalation protocols

All guidance is delivered in alignment with CouplesRehab’s editorial and transparency standards.
